The Renault Laguna Coupe comes with a choice of two petrol engines of 2.0 and 3.5 litres plus two diesels of 2.0 and 3.0 litres, with the former offering a choice of power outputs.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the 2.0-litre engines with an automatic option on the 150bhp diesel unit. Automatic transmission is standard on the most powerful 3.5-litre petrol and 3.0-litre V6 diesel models.
The 2.0T Laguna Coupe petrol models generate 202bhp for a top speed of 145mph, acceleration to 60mph in 7.8 seconds, economy averaging 34.5mpg and a CO2 rating of 194g/km. The 3.5 V6 GT has a power output of 237bhp for a top speed of 151mph, a 0-60mph acceleration time of 7.4 seconds, economy of 28.3mpg and a CO2 figure of 238g/km. The 2.0 dCi 150 has a power output of 150bhp to endow the car with acceleration to 60mph in 9.5 seconds with a top speed of 130mph, economy of 47mpg and a CO2 figure of 157g/km. The same figures for the 180bhp version are 8.5 seconds, 137mph, 43.5mpg and 172g/km. The 3.0 V6 dCi GT has an impressive torque figure of 332lb/ft and a power output of 232bhp, which translates in to a 0-60mph acceleration time of 7.3 seconds with a 150mph top speed, economy of 39.2mpg and a CO2 rating of 192g/km
